Rob Hankinson, co-founder of Traveler Overseas magazine, has been a career 'Renaissance Man'. With talents ranging from design to business, he has successfully pursued many venues in his 25 years. A true visionary, Hankinson has never been afraid to pursue a great idea, but he also possesses the acumen to manage the enterprise with integrity, having done so with an investment management and advising company, an insurance and strategic business planning firm, and a real estate design and development business.

Along with his clairvoyant business mind, Hankinson has always embraced a true love for the journey. He sees life as a process, not a destination, and he is not too fast-tracked to miss an experience or lesson along the way. A natural offshoot of his journey creed is a fondness for travel; in his desire to experience other cultures, landscapes and traditions, Hankinson has swam in the Dead Sea, ventured under the temple mount in Jerusalem to the excavations of the streets where Jesus walked, horsebacked through the canyons of Jordan to Petra, the site of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. He has traveled to many of the islands of Greece, been salmon fishing in Alaska, and soaked in the gentle countryside of Tuscany, visiting towns still fragrant with the charm and simplicity of life of medieval times. Hankinson lives what he believes and loves life.

Hankinson lives in Dallas with his wife Jan and daughters Jenny and Katie.
